Newt testifies against Cap and Trade
April 24, 2009
CSPAN’s review of this video:
Former House Speaker Newt Gingrich testified about the American Clean Energy Security Act of 2009. The proposed legislation would cut carbon dioxide and other greenhouse gases by 20 percent by 2020 and by 83 percent by mid-century. It further requires that utilities produce one quarter of their electricity from renewable sources by 2025. In his remarks he warned that the proposed legislation would “punish the American people” with higher energy costs and lost jobs. He also characterized cap-and-trade provisions as an “energy tax” that would lead to increased cost of living.

An amazing story, Dean Braxton went to the hospital in 2007 for kidney stones and things went terribly wrong. He died on the operating table. He was dead for one hour and 45 minutes, then came back to life, with no brain damage or other major problems that would have to be under all medically understood circumstances. Prayer from his wife and family and friends was instrumental in that recovery.
During that time, he told of his visit to heaven.
In this video, Dean relates what he learned there from the holy mountain of God about the very origins of evil.
The Black Robe Regiment instrumental in American independence
The British thought that the new colonies’ clergy was the spearhead that brought America its independence. Men of God with guts and courage who spoke for freedom, even sometimes battled for it, and they were the secret weapon that helped make America great.
As a body of men, the clergy were pre-eminent in their attachment to liberty. The pulpits of the land rang with the notes of freedom.
